Labor Weekend: The Journey To Tauranga

The wind was cold the moon hidden behind the murky clouds. This is the best time to travel but, we all know my family slept in. Hey didn't see you there, welcome back to my awesome story (not really). This time I will write about a great labor story, and no not the pregnant type.

The clock sharp, it's almost 7 am but my family still won't wake up.
"Get up!" I shouted, but of course no one listened. I decided that it would be a great idea to go to sleep, but then I would be as bad as those meatheads. I walked around the house for a bit than entertained myself by watching anime, yes anime. You might see that as cringe but I weeb itself I gladly would watch anime any day. *Boom* A crash from up the stairs, a glow flew to my eyes.

The journey was close, I waited for them to get ready and pack but that didn't take long. Soon we all raced to the cars to leave Wellington, New Zealand. We were driving all the way up to Tauranga, well that's what I thought. We actually went to a town a bit further than there. This town is called Waihi, it's like New Zealand's Hawaii. We travelled through Otaki and I wanted to stop to see some other family members but instead I kept my mouth closed.

Levin a richer version of Otaki (Otaki's so much better though) was our first stop. We came to have something to eat, I don't think writing about McDonald's will be necessary. After our meal we continued up to the Desert road. The Desert road is what I think is one of New Zealand's greatest Landmarks. This road held  mountains/volcanoes ,  famous corners and army members driving the desert part. We drove past the famous mountains Ruapehu, Tongariro and Ngauruhoe, they were quite the sight to bear.

"Where are we stopping next?" I asked
"Taupo" A reply from my Koro
We were so close the vast lake of Taupo came to view. I was amazed, lake Taupo is a huge super volcano. Some say that if it were to blow our country would fall. Shortly after we arrived to Taupo we went to one of the best cafes ever. We ordered and left after eating and we were now in Tauranga.

We stopped at a marae to visit some family members and later went to a holiday park to stay for the weekend. It was fun for the most part. We headed to bed and now the morning started we travelled down the the community hall to celebrate my cousins 21st. We had fun partying and eating, I also got to catch up with my cousin that I hadn't seen in a long time. After the party ended it was time for the adults to party. We kids left back to the holiday park to rest.

The day after me and my Dad went to a gold mine which I don't know where it is. We left to Hamilton to catch a plane back to wellington. I had fun on the plane watching videos and playing games. The clouds looked like a bellet dancing through the sky. I got quite a bit of videos and photos which will entertain me for a while.

In conclusion, the trip was amazing and would love to go back.
